Older and Wiser?
When we get older, does this mean we also get wiser?
Last friday, we (my fleet officemates and I) went to Tiananmen to have dinner and to celebrate Leny's 25th birthday. Tiananmen is a lot like North Park (I think they are managed by the same person) but the ambiance is a whole lot different from North Park. We reserved a place where we sat on the floor which is covered with pillows and we had to sit indian-style. The place is so cozy and the food is really masarap so after we finished eating, Connie, CK and I felt so sleepy.
After having dinner at Tiananmen, we went to Cena in Greenbelt to drink. They drank Gin Pomelo and I took a sip out of everybody's glass. I swore never to get overwhelmed with alcohol because I am allergic to it. I am actually allergic to a lot of things such as: excessive dust and painkillers (midol, ponstan) to name a few. So I just sat there, took sips from glasses without knowing and caring whose glass it was and endured the cigarette smoke of the people around me. At around 1AM, Leny is sooooo tipsy (I dare not say she's drunk because she said she isn't even if I think she is coz she acts as if she's drunk and she barely can't remember half of the things she said and did the next day and she slept with her face hanging from the side of the bed because she feels she's going to puke any minute) so Connie and I decided to go home to Leny's place while CK, Kartika and Chavz decided to go to Ortigas. They wanted me to go with them but I was in a crappy mood and I don't want to spoil their fun and be this big killjoy who ruined their party mood so I declined and decided to just go to Leny's place with Leny and Connie.
When we got to Leny's place, Leny is so 'tipsy' that she wanted to make pasta or salad for us. Not the one to say no to food, I told her to make us pasta with white sauce and olives. Yummy! But when she asked me to help her cook it, I said, "Wag nalang. Iba nalang."
Leny and Connie slept at around 1:30AM and I watched TV and tried to sleep but I can't so I text Kartika and CK after every 30 minutes asking them what time they're coming home and to hurry up (parang nanay!). They got home by 4AM bringing breakfast from Mcdo. We ate greasy food and just talked and analyzed the events which happened that day. I have to say that we are thankful to Chavz for enlightening us and giving us his opinion if a guy is an asshole, a jerk or both. CK slept at around 6AM while Kartika and I watched TV because we can't sleep. Connie was supposed to be fetched by Joven at around 8AM which stretched to 9:30AM and I'm telling you that Connie was so pissed (thinking about it, was there a time that Connie isn't pissed?. Bottomline, Kartika and I didn't sleep at all. CK woke up at around 11AM to get ready for her shift while I got ready for my afternoon class.
To wrap this entry up, what have we learned so far?
1. Leny will always get drunk during her birthday celebrations...
2. ...and she will always deny that she got drunk
3. That men are assholes and/or losers.
4. Even if you want to be someone's hero and help that person to change for the better, you will just fail because you cannot change a person.
5. Married life is hard. A lot of changes will take place, a lot of sacrifices have to be made, a lot of understanding must be done.
6. Love cannot conquer all.
7. The past will come back to haunt you and bite you on the ass!
