Halloween Holiday
Today is a monday and for once in a blue moon it isn't manic.
I spent Halloween Night with Jas and Rica - my college commuting buddies. As much as I told myself that I need to diet and to just eat egg and wheat bread for the next few weeks, I ended up convincing Jas - who is currently broke and owes about P70,000 to different credit card companies - to have dinner with me at CPK because I just love their Chicken BBQ Salad.
After dinner, we went to BF Homes Ruins and found out that it has transferred location already and is now on the 2nd floor of BF Dampa. I have to say that visiting BF Homes is very nostalgic and sentimental. Most of my growing up years were spent in that place and I love Jas because she feels the same way and everytime we drive around BF Homes we never fail to say, "Sana sa BF tayo nakatira."
Going back to Ruins, it's not quite the same as the old one. The cool shops are gone and what's left are stalls selling pirated DVDs. Not that we hate pirated DVDs, we actually love them. In fact, I find myself buying the last season of Sex and the City and a copy of The Notebook. I have to tell you that it was quite an experience looking for the last season of Sex and the City. The first stall I asked if they have a copy, the woman who owned the stall looked at me in a funny way and said, "Meron akong Sex and the City pero di ko alam kung anung season." Then she showed me the Sex and the City DVD that she has and it turns it out it was an X-rated DVD. I said, "Ay! Hindi po yan yung hinahanap ko." Sheesh! No wonder she was looking at me funny.
After that, Rica came and we window shopped a little then we ended up in the stall who sells CDs wherein you get to pick 17 or so songs and then they burn it on a CD for P55 only. I wasn't really in the mood to get a cd because almost all the songs I want I have in mp3 format but the forces of Rica and Jas are too strong for me so I ended up listing my favorite OPM songs in a piece of neon pink paper:
1. Sinta - Sugarfree
2. Suntok sa Buwan - Session Road
3. Suntok sa Buwan (acoustic version) - Session Road
4. Wag na wag mong sasabihin - Kitchie Nadal
5. Without you - Charlie Wilson
I can't think of anymore so I stopped at Item 5. Before I rack my brain for 12 more songs, I asked the girl who burns the CDS if she has "Wag na Wag Mong Sasabihin" and yes she has it. Then I asked if she already has Session Road's Suntok sa Buwan and no she doesn't have it. So I crumpled my neon pink paper and decided not to get a cd.
While waiting, I shared with Jas and Rica one of my complaint stories. Last friday, I went to Smart Wireless Center in Glorietta to complain once again because my mom's line got cut and we haven't received the billing statement yet. This is the second time that I went to Smart to complain about their service and the poor girl behind the desk encountered Maan the Bitchiest Customer for the second time around. I was fuming mad and telling her that "I am practically paying for poor service!". By the way, I can't take all the credit for all the mean lines I've used. Some of them I've heard from our own customers when they call our Customer Service Hotline. Haha! Anyway, I ended up paying for the bill and getting our Smart line reconnected again. Lesson I have learned from this: Globe is better. So if you're SMART, switch to GLOBE! I am not from Globe and I am hoping that someone who's really high up in Globe gets to read this entry and offer me a new Nokia Cellphone.
Going back to where we left of which is Rica, Jas and I in the CD stall... After getting their CDs, we went to Starbucks BF Homes (BF Homes definitely has it all!) for tea and water. I bumped into Shiela, Don's girlfriend, who is studying for an exam just like Don. We stayed there at around 11PM then we headed to Rica's place since Jas wants to borrow the Sex and the City DVDs of Rica. I got home just before 12MN.
So there. That's my Halloween. It wasn't as exciting as I wanted to be but that will do. Till next Halloween!
