2004

Goodbye, 2004! It was a good year. It wasn't as bad as Kartika thought. I think Kartika hated 2004. It was a blah year for her. Unfortunately, this is NOT her blog. So I'll be the one who gets to write about MY 2004. It didn't exactly rocked my world but I had a handful of experiences, learnings, and adventures which I would treasure forever and someday will tell my grand kids (if I have any).

For 2004, I...

...enrolled in Driving School. I drove the streets of Makati during my lunch break for 6 days. I got my driver's license for P1,500 and I think I already forgot how to drive. But I do dream of driving and I did dream of going to some car store and picking out my car. Hope this comes true real soon.

...went to Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Cebu. My dream of travelling the Philippines came true! I went to Davao's Pearl Farm Resort and wore a bikini for the first time and snorkelled for the first time. I went to Cagayan de Oro, went white water rafting and jumped from a rock into the river. I went to Cebu and flew all by myself, the first time I rode a plane alone. It felt good to be alone for the first time. So when was the last time you did something for the first time?

...enrolled in La Salle's Graduate School. I got in the Dean's List during my first term. I met a lot of really great people and created a blog for us (http://satniteout.blogspot.com) where I get to write about our friday or saturday night gimmicks. I miss them a lot already and I'm so excited for tomorrow (actually later) because it's my first day of Business Law class. Bad thing about it is that my class is in far, far DLSU Taft.

So you see? It wasn't such a bad year after all. I did not get the promotion I was looking forward to but if I take that out of the equation. I could say that 2004 was a great year!

I'm crossing my fingers that 2005 will top 2004 and bring me more adventures, more excitement, more life experiences, more learnings and enlightment, and more places to go to. Cross your fingers for me too!

Welcome

"I am a poster girl with no poster. I am 32 flavors and then some..."

Who is Maan?

Very talkative, very frank to the point of being tactless. Major hyper active and super kulit. Tampuhin, selosa and madalas may topak. Psychotic but bearable most of the time. Pakialamera. Addicted to those excel quizzes and surveys forwarded through e-mail. Have learned how to say no to FREE FOOD and resist the temptation of buffets. Listens to The Morning Rush with Chico and Delamar and is a major fan of Sex and the City. Fiercely loyal to friends (especially the under dogs). Can't dance, can't sing, can't act but very OA (Outstanding Actress). Doesn't smoke, drink nor do drugs but definitely a great girl to hang out with (sagot ko na ang kwento). Cynical on the outside but a hopeless romantic deep inside. Tries not cry over a guy but will shed buckets of tears while watching a movie. Escapes from the real world by reading books, watching movies, and tv shows. Dreams of travelling the world someday and joining The Amazing Race with a friend who knows how to swim, ride a bike and drive a car.
