Leaving 24 Behind

I'm 25. Single. Female.

I said good bye to 24 last 15 Feb. I celebrated my turning of a quarter of a century old last 19 Feb with a few of my closest friends. Friends from all stages of my life. From my batang kalye days of patintero and fish balls to my Grad School friends of badminton and squid balls at Makati Cinema Square. I've come a long way, baby!

----

I'm dreading 25. It's like some people dread the thought of becoming 30 or 50. Now that I am 25, can I already say that I am officially encountering my quarter-life crisis?

----

Now that I'm 25, I would like to...

...travel. I need to get out of the four walls of my office and explore the world. Life is short. I want to go Boracay, Palawan, Vigan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Indonesia, Europe, America.

...dye my hair a different color. Maybe a shade lighter. Nothing outrageous.

...read more books. Read a new book every week or at least every month.

...clean my cabinet and dispose clothing items which I haven't worn for more than a year. This means I need to learn how to let go and what a better way to start by letting go of pieces of clothing.

...after learning how to let go, I need to learn how to move on and just pray that Karma works.

...learn a new language. Say Spanish at Instituto Cervantes?

...concentrate on the things that do matter and STOP COMPLAINING!

----

I'm leaving 24 behind.
I'm leaving it for good.

Panahon nanaman ng Pag-Ibig

Time is too slow for those who wait
Too swift for those who fear
Too long for those who grieve
Too short for those who rejoice
But for those who love
Time is eternity.

----

In the end, only three things matter
How much you loved
How gently you lived
And how gracefully you let go of the things not meant for you.

-- Paulo Coelho

----

Love is not blind.
It sees but it does not mind.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Welcome

"I am a poster girl with no poster. I am 32 flavors and then some..."

Who is Maan?

Very talkative, very frank to the point of being tactless. Major hyper active and super kulit. Tampuhin, selosa and madalas may topak. Psychotic but bearable most of the time. Pakialamera. Addicted to those excel quizzes and surveys forwarded through e-mail. Have learned how to say no to FREE FOOD and resist the temptation of buffets. Listens to The Morning Rush with Chico and Delamar and is a major fan of Sex and the City. Fiercely loyal to friends (especially the under dogs). Can't dance, can't sing, can't act but very OA (Outstanding Actress). Doesn't smoke, drink nor do drugs but definitely a great girl to hang out with (sagot ko na ang kwento). Cynical on the outside but a hopeless romantic deep inside. Tries not cry over a guy but will shed buckets of tears while watching a movie. Escapes from the real world by reading books, watching movies, and tv shows. Dreams of travelling the world someday and joining The Amazing Race with a friend who knows how to swim, ride a bike and drive a car.
